This is a beautiful and poignant story, very well told. So much sadness, and yet so much courage and nobility. "A new pattern of stars" would be such an amazing omen for anyone 'with eyes to see that can'. Thank you for this link.

Very well done, Roisin, I found myself completely engrossed in Amandil's plight. It was a clever touch to bring Uinen to speak with him directly and, much as I would have liked him to have arrived safely in Aman, I have to agree with you that his death was by far the more likely outcome. And yes, of course he would embrace it without fear and you showed this very movingly.

I agree--that a new constellation to the memory of Amandil should be raised at his death does indeed seem appropriate, and particularly that it be raised over the lands to which the Faithful will soon sail. Thank you for this one!

Author Reply: I'm so glad you liked that detail. I must apologize for how very late I have been in replying to this. I very much appreciate your kind review and apologies again for such lateness in replying.
