Truth Be Told  by Virtuella 2 Review(s)

Oh wow! *Two* chapters! How did I miss one?

I loved this one-- Fana is so good for him; I love that she really *listens* to him, and that she was able to say "poor thing" about the story of the orc, rather than turning away in fear or disgust.

And of course, Gleowine continues to be a very clever mentor. His challenge to Deoric to write a new version of the tale, more conducive to the new realities of post-War life is a good one. I find myself curious about how Deoric will respond!

On to the next chapter now...

Author Reply: Thank you. I hope Fana's personality is coming out a bit clearer in this story than in "Measure," where she was very much "generic love interest." It was one of my projects for this fic to give her more space.

Yes, it's time to recast the stories so they no longer form propaganda, but betin to approach the truth of them--that both sides had reason to want the land and feel it theirs, and both were equally wrong in the end--as much wront as right.

And she has realized that there is a humanity of sorts even in the orcs. Good for them all!

Author Reply: Thank you! Nothing like a bit of revisionism... ;-)
