Celeritas' Birthday Bash 2009  by Celeritas 57 Review(s)

Ahhh very nice! Gimli getting to meet Aule! Now that must have been a treat...like a kid getting to meet his favorite baseball hero or something. I would hardly have thought of that myself. Lovely piece!

Author Reply: Thanks! It must have been as much of a treat for Aule to see one of his children in the flesh, too!

He always did have interesting dreams, didn't he and not for nothing either.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Eh, not necessarily... I mean, it is in keeping with his character but we only technically know about the ones he got during LotR. His prescience seems to have increased since then; who knows if it was before.

Apparently in this fic it was, though. ^_^

Really, you must continue this - and do the *real* start of it - that beautiful verse and go on from here. I would so love that.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Honestly, the process of Frodo's healing is not something I am comfortable going through. I think it's something that's better left with a veil of mystery around it. Sorry.

Pippin meets Dr. Who, heh? Or as near as I can figure since the Dr. Who I love had a red telephone box if I remember correctly, it's been a long time, but the rest sounds right. Jelly baby, anyone?

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Blue box. Always blue. From the '60's. *nerds out*

Of course, I don't specify which Doctor it is, but I think general consensus says it's Four (Tom Baker) and his ridiculous scarf.

Well, if Bilbo wasn't still around, Frodo would be and what a delight it would be for him to read something in his beloved cousin's hand. You know, this just begs for a sequel! Just read your bio BTW and love it! What a soulmate you are!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Why, thank you!

No sequel, but I already have my own plans for the study to show up somewhere else... You'll have to be content with that for now, if I ever get around to working the darn thing in. *kicks roadblocks*

Lucky Kira! I would love to run away to a library/study and I usually do to escape parties.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Well, she doesn't get much chance of it otherwise!

Love the part of Aule meeting one of his 'subcreations.' I so hope that the professor is enjoying time with his.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: If he even cares about them at this point (I'm feeling rather pugnacious today and so feel like pointing out things like, "we don't know what it's going to be like except that it's going to be awesome, and not necessarily by our definitions of awesome").

But yes, I thought that Aule would've looked forward to this for a long time.

That was cute! LOL - Frodo's 'editorial comment' about that chapter. I wonder though if he read the same book I did because there is certainly one tragedy after another but there are lots of adventures for sure. Love the tween though. Little does he know at this point how much these events will impact his own life and adventure. Love Bilbo's words about the good that came out of the tragedy of the death of the Two Trees - I hadn't thought of that before. Love also the incentive Bilbo gave the son of the heart for finishing the essay.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Yes, but the adventures are very dry and there is NO evidence that Frodo was a nerd like the rest of us, especially at this point in his life. Plus if Frodo's working through this chronologically, he hasn't gotten to any of the "good stuff" yet.

And yes, there's good that comes out of every tragedy in history. As Frodo will learn through personal experience.

Some when their faith is tested, it grows stronger, for some it is destroyed. I feel sorrow for the latter. Certainly well written little piece here!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Yeah, so do I. Thanks for the review, though!

I love it! What a sweet story about these two - I hadn't thought of that before, what they could have in common and I love the assurance Aragorn gives Sam and how he wants to know when the big day is so he can send his own congratulations.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Thanks! I love making connections between characters whom readers don't always connect.
