A most fitting dream, I must suppose! Heh! And Aunt Ivriniel reminds me of the aunt in Nanny McPhee!

Author Reply: I'm trying to remember the aunt in Nanny McPhee, but she escapes me. Will look it up.

Poor Eowynhaving to endure fittings of the dreadful hot dress. The Aunt is a real character!I'm sure the Witch King's ghost is laughing at his revenge!

Author Reply: I've never had any clothes tailor-made, but I imagine it would be really tedious in any case, and even more so in this one!

Brava! The perfect end to a most appropriate nightmare.

Author Reply: Yeah, nightmares are cool! ;-)

This is getting more hilarious by the moment, gosh what is it with this old Aunt! I'd tell her to take her tradition and the ugly dress and stuff it, nobody would ruin my wedding! I think........ Hugs The Imp

Author Reply: Glad you find this funny - I wasn't too sure whether the humour level would cut the mustard!

I'm surprised Faramir isn't dead yet from the comment he made at the end of the last chapter. I would have thought Eowyn would have lost her temper right there, grabbed her sword, and told him that she could just as easily slay him too if he did march out there and talk to his aunt right then! At the very least, she probably kicked him out right then and there. *grins* Poor Faramir has absolutely no idea, does he?

I'm surprised Eowyn agreed to go so far as get fitted in the first place, and her desire to stay civil with Faramir's aunt is a testament to her love for him. Of course, with a woman like Eowyn, patience will only last so long, especially when dealing with someone like the aunt! I'm wondering if she decides to slay the dress.......And I'm sure the opportunity to switch dresses at the last minute on the wedding day won't work, either, as I'm sure the aunt will be there to make sure the dress goes on! Looking forward to seeing how Eowyn gets out of this!

Question: Is the aunt Imrahil's remaining sister, or one of Denethor's? I was wondering because with her forcefulness and knowledge of the steward's family tree, she sounds like Denethor's sister, but you had Lothiriel calling her aunt, which makes her wound like Imrahil's sister. If she is Denethor's sister, why did Lothiriel call her aunt?

Thanks for sharing!

Author Reply: Well, I deliberately left it to the reader to imagine how Eowyn would respond. Feel free to imagine Faramir with a black eye. ;-)

Ivriniel is Imrahil's sister. I imagine her to be the kind of woman who takes an intense interest in the ruling family, regardless of how closely related she is to them.

Still enjoying this very much! Yes, I know I am at your "mercy" to change your ending, but I cannot believe such a good writer, with such a good story, would leave our Eowyn actually wearing the dress. You could always write 2 endings and post an AU which might be a lot of fun - especially the court, Arwen, and Faramir's reactions to the horror.

I will be out of easy Internet access for a week. I will read and review as I can, but this story gives me something to look forward to in a rough week.

Thanks again.

Author Reply: Thanks. I hope your week won't be too rough. If you're not pleased with the ending of this story, I give you leave to write the alternative version. ;-)
