Now this was a different kind of LOTR story. I do not like snakes but you made me want to know more. Great job!!!

Author Reply: I like to be as original as I can get on most of the stories I write. I think snakes are neat, but I have a healthy respect for them, especially the ones with venom. I think its also neat when anything I write can inspire someone to learn more about something or someone. Thank you.

The snake dead, but its progeny possibly hatching at some untoward time in the future? But of course! At least this one danger is past, and the trees merely rejoice that Legolas was spared! Now, to see what dangers these two get into next time!

Author Reply: Yeah, the snake is definitely dead, and hatching progeny is a distinct possibility. It's unlikely that L & A will have to worry about that one. I had to get Legolas back to the forest, and of course, the trees would forgive him and be happy he came back. You can bet it will be another wild ride.

I tried to thank everyone who reviewed my stories at MEGA, but I'm sure I missed some. If I missed you, please know I appreciate all of your kind words very much. :o)

Author Reply: EEEPS! I meant MEFA.

Ohhhhhh, classic horror story ending there! They think everything is okay but it's not! I can just see some years in the future, Aragorn and Legolas will decide to show Eldarion the site of one of their near-death experiences and SURPRISE! It will begin all over again.

Well, they made it. Finally. :) Legolas should thank his lucky stars that he was born an elf, or Aragorn would have got him killed years ago. Speaking of death though, I can only imagine Elrond's reaction when they return *this* time. Aragorn and Legolas have survived orcs, trolls, and a giant snake, but I think one of these days Elrond will just finish them off and save everyone a lot of trouble later.

Great story, thanks so much for the good times! Love how you write Aragorn and Legolas!

P.S. So, when is your next story going to begin? :)

Author Reply: Yeah, I couldn't resist. A fellow writer/friend from Germany called the snake she in a review on another site, and when I asked why, she said the Germain word for snake was in the feminine, so that gave me the idea for the ending. I love stuff like that. Oh my. I like your idea about the future. What fun that would be.

Yes, they sure did. I agree that Legolas has a big advantage on these misadventures because he's an elf. I imagine Elrond will surely give them a very stern lecture, then he might finish them off. :o)

I'm glad you enjoyed the story and the way I write L & A.

I have a new story that I'll post soon.

Author Reply: No, the plot bunny had to have his way. :o) Glad you enjoyed it.
