It  by White Wolf 3 Review(s)

At last--some leisure to read and comment. Good--the weather for the moment works in their favor. Now--if they could possibly behead the serpent as they leave, it would rid ME of one more horror....

I suppose the snake freezing to death would be too much to hope for. But if It's sleeping, now would be a great time to find a way to kill it.

Lovely, now the elf is not only torn to pieces, he has a high fever and is going to be dragged out into the snow in all of this. Poor guy.

Oh, Aragorn's thoughts are so amusing. :) "That idea excited the ranger, that is, until he realized that he and Legolas would likely freeze to death long before the snake did. Why did practical facts always seem to come along to dash a hopeful thought?" I hate being practical.

*"You will be no more of a burden to me than I have been to you under similar circumstances,” the ranger declared firmly.
It was Legolas’s turn to laugh. “When have we ever been in anything remotely resembling these circumstances?”
“Point taken.”*

Lol, I can't remember anything like that either. True, I've read plenty of stories where they are either stranded in a blizzard nowhere near help or are up against some evil creature, but being in a snowstorm with a giant snake? I think that's a new one! :)

As for Legolas not being suicidal? HA! You wouldn't think it half the time. And Aragorn can't say anything either.

Author Reply: If our guys were in a position to kill the snake that would be great, but alas, they aren't.

Yeah, it is a bad situation. But, they can't stay where they are. So, leaving the cave is their only real option.

Practicality can be a drag sometimes.

I'm glad you seemed to like those quotes. I did, too. :o)

I try to be original with my story plots. I think being in a snowstorm with a relentless giant snake is rather unique. I've never read anything like it before, either.

Considering the messes those two get into, being suicidal seems to be a forgone conclusion, otherwise they'd stay in bed. :o)

omg...poor guys can't catch a break! Damn the snow!! Hopefully they'll be able to get out of this one :) Merry Christmas to you too!

Author Reply: Yes, I have to agree with you. And, I have a feeling that snow is not going to be a mixed blessing. We can only offer the guys our best wishes. Hope you had a good Christmas.
