The serpent is a persistent thing! Heh! Poor trees!

Author Reply: How right you are. I agree, poor trees. I hated writing that part.

HORS-ES!!! WHERE ARE YOU!?!?!?!? ;)

AnL have such luck, going into a cave and finding a snake--make that a HUGE snake!--that won't give up the hunt and seems to follow them around like a magnet. Anyone wonder why Legolas doesn't like caves? *cue the scary music*
Because you never know whether you are going to find more rock or a scary creature, like balrogs or snakes! Now you know.

I love your dialogues (or however you spell that word) between Legolas and Aragorn. "I have an idea."..."Please share." and of course Aragorn's grumble "That's two problems." lol!

On a more serious note, I share the pain Legolas experiences at the death of the trees. You almost had me crying, White Wolf! The trees are just so good and they were so willing to give up life for the man and the elf and they are trying so hard and...and... *finally breaks down, sobbing uncontrollably*

:)

Author Reply: They are following the snake, but they can't get to L & A. Darn it.

Well, our guys are trouble magnets, so being pursued by a huge snake seems righ up their alley. Scary music seems quite appropriate, because it appears that we all know that L & A will find something scary.

I'm glad you like my dialogues. That's always nice to hear.

Destroying the trees was hard to write. :o( I live in the country surrounded by trees, and I love them, too. I knew it would hurt Legolas, but it was necessary to give our guys a fighting chance. It also provided material for some serious emotion, which it appears I evoked in you as well as Legolas.
