| I grieve for the trees alongside Legolas and Aragorn. The snake must have had a very protected life to not recognize trees--or it has forgotten much during its long captivity. Author Reply: Me, too! I live in the country surrounded by trees, and it was hard to have to destroy them, but it was necessary to the story. I'm thinking the snake has never been outside before and doesn't know what trees are. | |

| I was so happy to see the next chapter up! More danger punctuated by humor...yay! "your tremendous capacity for crushing my hopes never ceases to amaze me" That was hilarious! :) Poor trees though. I love when authors portray Legolas having a close connection with them. Go trees! :) Oh yeah, was Aragorn really thinking the same thing as Legolas or was he just trying to be "clever"? :) Don't you dare let those horses be harmed... Author Reply: Me, too! Yes, that the way they roll. You are the second reviewer who pointed out that exact line. It made me grin when I wrote it. :o) I hated to destroy those trees, especially knowing how it would hurt Legolas, but it was necessary. I love trees, too, so that part was hard to write. I'm not sure. It may have been a bit of both. Our heroes may be having a hard time, and some of the trees didn't fair too well, but rest assured, the horses will not be harmed. :o) | |
