Hey, you and your cliffhangers! ;) Sorry I didn't read and review right away but REAL LIFE happened. :(

Well, another exciting chapter filled with snakes, extinguished torches, hopeless encounters, and dark, claustrophia-inducing tunnels!

Sometimes I wonder how Aragorn and Legolas ever made it alive to the Fellowship...

Loved it! Even the cliffhanger, yeah. :) Don't worry, I really don't mind them so much--I just like to pretend. They definitely make things more interesting!

Author Reply: Believe me I understand RL. This response if late, too.

You sure made it all sound so ominous, which of course, it is.

I think we all wonder about that. They certainly are trouble magnets.

I'm glad you loved the chapter, even the cliffie. Leaving things hanging definitely makes for eager anticipation.

well... I totally believe Legolas is still running around in those tunnels. If I were Aragorn, I would try to find the exit, so the light from it would show down into the tunnels and Legolas, if he came by, would be able to pick up on it.
But then again, Aragorn is very unlikely to do that and leave Legolas behind, and even if he did, Legolas would still be searching for Aragorn.
I guess the best case is that they find each other soon, so maybe Legolas should be that thing Aragorn tripped over...
Can't wait for more!

Author Reply: That's an interesting plan. But, knowing both of them, you are right that nether of them wouldn't leave until they found the other, no matter how long that took.

If Legolas is what Aragorn tripped over, that would mean the Legolas is unconscious or dead. Either way, the snake would have gotten him rather than left him lying in a tunnel. We'll just have to see what happens.

Oh Great! Instead of getting closer together, they are wandering farther apart. Pretty sure Aragorn has found the torch that Legolas dropped. Hope he can get it re-lit. They both need to find a way of marking the tunnels so they don't keep going in circles. Eh -- easier said than done, I think.
Can't wait to find out what Legolas does to escape the snake. Please update soon.

As Always
Peace
Beverly

Author Reply: I know that is frustrating to readers. Fortunately, L & A aren't really aware of it. We'll see if you are right about the torch. I think that is much easier said than done. Even if they did mark the tunnels, they might miss the the marks in the dark, and tey certainly don't have the time to slow down and feel for a mark.

You are assuming that Legolas gets away. :o)

Peace to you.

I suspect he's just found the spent torch. And I understand the anxiety both feel!

Author Reply: That's a good guess. We'll see if you are right. I can understand their anxiety, as well.

Oh dear-Oh dear-Oh dear!! EVIL CLIFFIE!! :D

I was wondering. I have a Legolas fanfiction story that I have posted on FanFiction.net. If you had the time, would you read and review? You wouldn't have to do it all at once. I would just enjoy hearing what another Leggy fan has to say about it. Thanks either way, and write more! lol

Author Reply: Yes, it is rather, isn't it?

I haven't had the time to read your story yet, but I will. I'll let you know what I think. :o)
