“Fits!” he whispered with a wink, and Pippin had to stifle a giggle.

Great story! That's good old Strider how I like him!

I was a little afraid that Aragorn would not react that good-naturedly. After all it was the day before the coronation, the most important ceremony in all his life so far.

On the other hand the future king behaved very human when he found out about his allergy ;-)

And what he told Pippin showed once again his experience as a healer:

That’s the right way, Pippin. To find words for what is scaring you.

It's the best way to get rid of dreams or memories that are haunting you. Just speak about them to someone else. However, some people can't muster the courage to do so, which is very sad.

For me, it always worked.

This is a wonderful mixture of both angst and fluff, as we have been discussing! I do like the way that you show it is really serious concerns underneath that cause Pippin to act out a little foolishly sometimes.

And Aragorn's allergy was too funny!

Ah, so well worth the rereading! Lovely, from Aragorn dealing with his allergic reaction to Pippin playing at being the first Hobbit king! And the concerns are all so realistic!

This is a wonderful conversation between Pippin and Aragorn.

I couldn´t trust you any more than I do, as my friend and my king.” Pippin gave a small bow with his head.

Aragorn felt touched by the immense trust his diminutive knight had in him.

Awww. And the last line, "Fits!" is just adorable.

(You might want to change 'Stuart' to 'Steward'.)
