You captured Frodo's feeling of loss very well. I enjoyed this.

aww i like this! So sad and angsty! Poor Frodo! Very believable bit about what he might've been thinking at that time.:huggles him:

Author Reply: I know, the poor dear! It must have been hard, realizing he would be living alone for the first time.

It had to be traumatic, even if he were aware Bilbo was leaving and were as prepared as he could have been--which it appears, book-verse, he was. But I, too, see him finding that first night traumatic, that first night, perhaps just before--or just after--he put a certain gold Ring in his pocket.

Author Reply: Book-verse, he certainly did have an idea! However, he would of course want to deny any inkling to himself because he cares about Bilbo so much. Our poor dear Frodo. Oh, yes, and that gold ring certainly would complicate matters- though of course I have absolutely *no* idea why. Not. An. Inkling.

Poor Frodo!

Such a large change would be hard to adjust to at first, but we know he turned out just fine! A sweet ache for his grief here.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: It certainly is a change! Change is rarely easy, especially ones the size of ount Doom like this one.

*sniffle*

Yes, yes, and yes. This used the drabble format to its fullest potential--I hope you can make it back here for more!

Author Reply: Thank you for the kind review! I'm hoping so too- I plan to be, if my end-of-semester doesn't kill me!

Of course, there is always procrastination via drabbling... =D

Lovely bit of illustration here:
could not escape one thought that stubbornly clung to his mind like a piece of grass on one’s feet.

Nicely done. You pack a lot into a mere 100 words.

Thanks!

Author Reply: Thanks for the sweet review, Lindelea! I've read a lot of your stuff and really like it, so it's definitely an honor to get this =)
