*Sob* That was so sad! And so cute! It made me want to cry really. Very, very good! Poor Arwen and Legolas. Good ol' Estel! Thanks for this story!!

Author Reply: Yes, it did have its sad moments. I like to temper sorrow with a bit of humor, if I can fit it into the story without forcing it. You are most welcome. :o)

Hello!
By the light of the Evenstar! I love this! There's certainly a feel of Aragorn in ti and of Arwen and beloved Legolas! I am very much impressed. >_< It brought a few tears too!
Namarie!

Author Reply: I'm very pleased that you do. It's nice when a reader can feel the characters in any of my stories. I love being able to impress a reader. I also love being able to evoke strong emotions. :o)

oh my! That was exceptionally written, though so sad. I truly fealt every word Estel said to Legolas, and it was amazing!

Author Reply: Thank you! The very nature of it made it unavoidably sad. Wow, what a great compliment. That's food to a writer. :o)

An interesting piece White Wolf. I enjoyedthe tribute to Legolas but also what it shows us of Aragorn and Arwen.

Author Reply: Glad you think so. I'm happy you enjoyed the tribute, and yes, it does also show us a glimpse into Aragorn and Arwen.

Beautifully written. The document itself, Aragorn pouring out his heart and his love for his friend, was so subtly written and yet so profoundly moving. I wish I had words (which absolutely embarrasses me as a writer) to say how easy to read this part was. It felt so very personal and yet not too personal to make me blush. Well done!

The part with Arwen and Legolas was perfect. I do believe Legolas waited until Arwen passed before he sailed, but whether or not he did, still makes this beautiful.

Thank you for sharing it.

Author Reply: Thank you. That is a wonderful compliment. I wanted the piece to be moving, and the subject matter certainly made that a lot easier. :o) It is always nice to hear a reader say how easy to read something I've written is. I set out to make it a deeply personal thing that Aragorn was still eager to share.

I'm pleased you liked what took place between Legolas and Arwen. Actually, I also think Legolas did wait for Arwen to pass before he sailed, but knowing Estel the way they did, I had to put some humor in it. :o)

Sweet and poignant. The history shared is enough to hearten anyone.

Author Reply: I'm certainly glad you feel that way about the story. It would be nice if we all had a friendship like that.

What a beautiful letter about a unique and much-cherished friendship.

Author Reply: I couldn't imagine Aragorn not leaving a declaration about the friend who fought the sea longing all those years to stay with him in Middle-earth. I'm glad you liked it.
