| Ah, the grief shared, and so eased. Author Reply: Pain shared is pain halved. While there was no doubt this would be the most joyous of reunions, it was coming in the wake of great sorrow and since Frodo had already been there, done that, it is good he was there to help his Sam walk through the fire himself.
