It made me cry.

One of the best "Maglor resurfaces" tales in a long time...Hoping, along with everyone else, that Aragorn will tell Elrond quickly enough for him to do something about it. Sequel, please!

Cat

Author Reply: hehe I'll have to think about a sequel. See what the muse has in mind. But I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

I forgot to add, that I think it would be great if Elrond stumbled upon him when going out to get some air. I just can't abide Maglor slipping away without making a bit more contact with his foster son. *bats eyes*

Author Reply: maybe maybe ;)~

Copied from OAA and posted so you can collect them together. *wink* Still love it. Maglor is such a great character.

GAH! I have never considered this possibility, but oh yea! It so works! What a wonderful tale, Alassante! I was vibrating near the end because I had pretty much figured it was Maglor. And wow, what a wedding gift. Something that had belonged to Nerdanel. I really really really liked this a lot, if you can't tell by now. *wink* I have come to adore the Silmarillion even more than LOTR but a tale that crosses both is just sheer heaven, such as this lovely little ficlet of yours. Thank you, thank you!

Author Reply: And thank you! I'm very flattered that you liked it so much. :) The Silmarillion is a hard read to just sit down and plow through but once you start looking at the individual characters, its very rich material to dive into. And I love the Feanorians. So complex and had so much promise - only to be squandered away.

I had to go back and do some reading about Maglor after reading this. I had assumed he was finally back in Valinor - but I see my hopes were unfounded.

Gosh - I so loved the bard... Drat...

Well - enough of that. Incredibly good tale. I'm glad I read it.

I loved that Aragorn knew that he was a better man with Arwen at his side. I loved the little mystery that enfolded very near the beginning of the tale - I love mysteries. I was concerned when Aragorn went forth without his guard - I could just know that man upside the head sometimes... especially since the one he was falling looked disreputable!

My heart ached that Maglor was 'diminished' *sobs* And it broke when I realized that he was still in Middle-earth and so very alone.

Again - great tale!

Author Reply: hehe I'm sure Aragorn had a hard time adjusting to not being a ranger and just doing what he wanted to do without thinking about his own neck. But he's smart enough to know he needs his woman! lol Glad you enjoyed it Agape.

I fell in love with your story Alassante, I have always loved stories with Maglor and his mysterious ways, I would hope he could someday find peace. Hugs The Imp

Author Reply: Maglor's tale is so sad because he was all alone and most likely would never find peace. :( I'm glad you enjoyed this. *hugs*

Ooh! I was hoping it was Maglor! I love how Maglor just "wanted to see him happy again". Thank you for this little entertaining fic.

Author Reply: I figured Maglor had lots of affections for Elrond. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ah--a most blessed, in his way, of wedding guests, even if uninvited and unexpected. What a delightful blessing, Alassante! I love it!

Author Reply: Thanks so much Larner. I liked mixing the Silm in with LOTR and figured Maglor had to be somewhere during this time.
