| It is a bit of a turnabout to have Legolas perhaps in some level of disgrace for having Gimli accompany him to the Undying Lands. Rather a clever turn of affairs. Author Reply: Thank you! I liked the idea of Aule having a chance to meet one of his 'children'. | |

| This was truly delightful to see! I loved to see Legolas' loyalty to his friend, and Galadriel's as well. While I'm of the firm belief that both Gandalf and Legolas had "prior approval" to bringing their non-Elven companions to the West, it is nowhere explicitly stated, so the scenario you propose is certainly a valid interpretation--I liked the way you made use of it, and the outcome. And I could very easily imagine that Legolas would have returned with Gimli if his friend had been refused admission. Author Reply: Thank you =0) I wonder if they have 'call ahead reservations' to Valinor lol Maybe Osse checks it out for them. | |

| “I know this dwarf’s spirit, and he is everything you wished for when you created them.” How beautiful. This is a delightful story from beginning to end, and I especially love the little 'aside' about Gandalf and the hobbits. Author Reply: hehe thank you. I always wondered if Legolas thought about the fact that he was breaking a rule. | |
