I think this is my favourite chapter. You capture Faramir's joy beautifully.

Author Reply: I'm glad you liked it-- I still like the last one the best, but most readers' favorite chapter is this one.

Thanks for the review! :)

A lovely scene for Faramir and Eowyn.Poor faramir tripping like that!

Author Reply: That poor man! I shouldn't have enjoyed humiliating him, but I'm only human. He can't be the all-perfect, inscrutable Steward all the time.

Thanks! :)

I love this! First off! I have always loved that Eric Clapton song! And I never thought of applying it to Faramir and Eowyn but it doesn't work so well! I love reading stories about Faramir and Eowyn and this portrays Faramir's wonder at Eowyn's love exceptionally well! I loved it.

I think that the separate section correspond nicely with the chosen verse from the song! Glad I happened upon this story!

Thanks!

MM

Author Reply: I'm glad you felt that way. I love Eric Clapton's songs too. :)

Thanks for the review!

Yes, this chapter is priceless. Best ending you could have written. *giggle* I chorkled when Faramir tripped and actually fell! :D My Dear, could you do a piece on "A Lady in red is dancin' with me?" My fave love song of all time. I think it was written for Fergy back in the early nineties? Oh well, if you don't know it, that's all right. *hugs* Neilia

Author Reply: I'll try it out as soon as I'm able, though I'll have to find the lyrics first.

I'm really glad you liked it. Thanks for sticking to this story right to the end! :)

What a "Wonderful", romantic story! To me, Faramir and Eowyn's romance was one of Tolkien's greatest, and I think they would have had a good marriage, though not without some ups and downs. And I do think that Faramir was a very romantic fellow...

Author Reply: Indeed he was! Faramir was a sensitive sort of person (said so in the book in different words, didn't it?) and I can well imagine a sensitive person being romantic.

As for Tolkien's greatest romance... well, there's also Tuor and Idril, in my own opinion, but yes, I think Eowyn and Faramir beat them, hands down.

Thanks for the review! :)

This story really is beautiful. It has humour, drama and poignancy in all the right places. I love every bit of it. Thank you for sharing.

Author Reply: I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And thank you, thank you for the nomination. :)

she has rendered me, the stern and wise Steward of Gondor, a happy fool.

What a lovely story. :)

Author Reply: Thank you! :)

I especially love thinking of Faramir as a "happy fool", since it's so unlike him! I guess I had fun making him into a complete nincompoop over Eowyn, LOL.

Yes, I bet the Witch-king would have recognized her expression indeed! Wonderful!

Author Reply: LOL, I loved writing this chapter.

Thanks for all your support! :)

Hurray! He is one to let folks know where his heart lies, and it is so right for these two!

Author Reply: That's right! I think Faramir could keep a mask over his emotions when he wanted to, but when he DOESN'T want to, or knows that there's no harm letting others know just how much he loves his wife, he lets loose for all the world to see.

Thank you for reviewing!

Ruined bubble or not, I still see its beauty and glow. Faramir is no fool, he has found his soul mate...a rare thing. *sigh* Rare, indeed. *swaying to melody in my own dream bubble* Hugs, Neilia

Author Reply: Yes, you're absolutely right, and Faramir wholeheartedly agrees with you, too.

Thanks! Last chapter on the way. :)
