I loved the way Boromir was remembered in song and the hopeful ending for Faramir.

Author Reply: Thank you. Faramir has a full, beautiful life ahead of him. :)

Absolutely awesome! As soon as I finished reading, I wrote to a friend with the link and told her she 'had' to read it. I am going to nominate it, with your permission, for a MEFA once the nominating season starts!

The best and most unique part for me was the use of the warsong! It was a perfect vehicle for the tale that it bore. And when you wrote about the bridge! That is my all time favorite part of LOTR - which is so odd because it is almost a footnote in the book... a mention... yet such a profound moment. The whole scene was incredibly poignant. And the ending was perfect.

Thank you ever so much for sharing this. A truly beautiful tribute to Boromir and a wondrous telling of the 'quality' of Faramir! Well done indeed!

Author Reply: I'd be honored! I'm glad you liked it that much. As I mentioned earlier, I love weaving songs into stories-- it binds the story together in a unique way.

The love Faramir bears for Boromir will always endure, but he has a happy future to look forward to with his new brother as well. :) Thanks for your lovely review, it truly made my day!

Ah--good! He finds that his brother is not truly lost--that hints of Boromir are in the furthest places, and even in this new brother of the heart he has come to know, and whose sister will soon become his wife!

Author Reply: He has rediscovered both a brother he never lost and a new one he has gained, yes. :) Thank you for your review!

Oh, I do like this very very much!

I love how the song and the memories are fully integrated, and now I want to know what the tune to the song is! :)

Well done!

Author Reply: I love interweaving songs/poems into stories-- I enjoyed doing so with my other story, "The Missing Lines", as well. :) Thanks for your review!

Nice story! It is very probable that Faramir only at this time finally had enough time to himself to come to terms with his loss. To have the joy of marrying Éowyn to look forward to had to make the remembered grief more bearable.
And these flashbacks tell a lot about the brothers and their relationship.

Well done!

Author Reply: I'm glad you liked it. Faramir probably didn't have time to reflect long on his loss, as you said, what with the war going on. I thought he'd like to have some time to think about his brother, and a lovely opportunity presented itself in this story. Thanks for your review! :)
