Rhyselle's Library  by Rhyselle 6 Review(s)

If you will not grant me space in your kitchen, I will go down the valley and find a farmer's wife willing to loan me the use of her hearth.

*grin* That Gilraen is a stubborn one! And a cake baked by one's own mother with love tastes infinitely better than a professional's.

Oh my! A very bittersweet moment. I loved it all.... (especially the going to a farmer's wife for help *giggles*)

What a cute story! Love the ending.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Ah, so appropriate, Rhyselle! Love that she wanted to do this herself.

Just a lovely little fic; and perfect for the subject matter - we see Gilraen's resolve and independance of spirit; she isn't going to sit back and let the Elves make this special present for her child. And we see that both Gilraen and little Estel still mourn Arathorn and are perhaps not entirely at ease yet in their new home.

The ending is delightful; so typical of a small child, be he a little prince or any three-year-old boy; and I love his being in Elrond's lap; a small but telling touch about the Master of Imladris' love for his little mortal foster-son.
