Rhyselle's Library  by Rhyselle 7 Review(s)

This is delightful. I'm trying to teach my sweet grandbaby the alphabet and can't wait till she can read her first word....

I love Elladan's big round eyes!

Author Reply: It's such a marvelous thing to see a child come to realize just how wonderful those squiggles on the paper really are. :)

Thanks for reviewing!

I don't remember the first time I could read but I do remember my mom having to teach me to read from left to right. I'm so left-handed I automatically started reading from right to left. *LOL* Anyway, once I 'got' it I never looked back.

Cute drabble, Rhyselle. Thank you for reminding us all how the written word can open whole worlds for us to explore... and I agree with Lady Bluejay, there's nothing like sitting down and opening a book. Reading online just doesn't have the same thrill for me.

Author Reply: While I love reading the fanfics online, there's a reason that I print out the chapters of Elf Interrupted and other tales that I follow on a regular basis... I dream of one day actually taking the entirety of EI1 and EI2 and binding them into a leather-bound volume that I can take down and enjoy without the need for the internet connection. One day... *grin*

Can't remember that day myself when I first opened a book - I was probably born reading one - but indeed what a glorious number of worlds to discover! Hantanyel for this sweet story!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Reading one of the real joys of life - even though we trawl the Internet for information there is nothing like sitting down and opening a book. A good reminder in this.LBJ

Author Reply: Thanks for reviewing. I'm very glad my muse gave me this ficlet... it brought back wonderful memories for me. :)

A perfect answer to the challenge.

Author Reply: Thank you! I wasn't sure that I could come up with something and then Elladan spoke up.

This really rang a bell with me. Being able to read is just such a gift. All those stories, all those characters we can be for a while rather than just our boring selves. Nice drabble.

Author Reply: Thank you very much. Forgive my late reply; I can only plead being afflicted by "real life".
