What a fun tale... I LOL when Pal tried to think of work 'further from the farmhouse' - and the 'wee' scratch! That was hysterical. No pity for the poor Hobbit. But she does have a nasty streak - sending him to Bilbo's for FOUR weeks! Yikes....

Poor Tulip. The others should realize the extent of her suffering!

I loved the comments about the bow - I play guitar and always am most careful with how I am holding it. The neck can be lethal! But I have never hit anyone nor broken anything. *knocks on wood*

Pippin will learn all in due time. If he lives that long and can keep the goat at bay!

Lovely tale.

Author Reply: Thank you, I had lots of fun writing it!

Where would I have been without this idea to borrow in "The Blessing"?

This is an adorable story and I thank you so much for letting me use your hard work.

“Nooooo,” Merry moaned as he bolted upright, looking around wildly for a moment. His confusion turned into a scowl when he realised what was happening. “I thought I was just having a nightmare. Simply a nice terrifying, normal, lurid dream. That’s all.”

I love this!!!!!

So well done!

Author Reply: Pearl, it's I who really owe both you, and Golden, for this as it was all your idea. I'm so glad you liked it!

And even Tulip finds it a torture! Poor inhabitants of Bag End! And the goat COULD serve double duty--Bilbo's right there! Heh! Yes--new violin students are such a pain to be around! Wonderful to see the other expanded upon.

Author Reply: Yes, poor wee Tulip, hehe! True, maybe it *is* time for a goat at Bag End - she really might come in very handy! Thanks so much for reading!

“Why can’t he just stick to singing? The lad has a beautiful voice and he can’t harm anyone with that.”

Adorable "gap filler"! (It really is lovely to see a lad so in love with music, whatever form it takes!)

Author Reply: Thanks, Shirebound! Yes, it's hard to imagine Pippin as anything but musical in every way. Glad you liked this!!

Very nice!

That bow seems to be a dangerous weapon. It's good that Pearl and later Merry reacted so quickly.

Did Bilbo buy the goat, I wonder? From what Frodo and Merry told in "The Blessing" the fiddle was neither destroyed, nor eaten :)

P.S.: Is it possible to be jealous of a fiddle? If so, those might be Tulip's feelings right now ;-)

Author Reply: Andrea, as usual, you pose some interesting questions, hee! Dunno, we'll have to see if Tulip is jealous of it. And yes, a bow can be quite a weapon in the hands of a child just learning to use it, and I'm sure we can all imagine just how enthusiastic Pip would be with it! My father played the fiddle and I remember trying it out myself when he allowed me. It was very awkward, so I went on to learn the piano instead...

Thank you for your comments!
