Great story, beautifully and thoughtfully written. I love how you weave Tolkien's own words in with your on creativity. Marvelous!

Thank you for sharing your talent.

"You must know that where he walks, you can not follow.” Those words alone would put a chill through any mother's heart! Realizing that your child will go through such suffering and turmoil and not being able to do do anything about it will break any parent. Your telling of this is quite sad...very emotional.

"No mother can protect her child forever" -- as a mom, this hit me right in the gut!

Author Reply: Thanks so much for reviewing, RS! I’m glad to know that you found this chapter to be effective and that you are continuing to enjoy the story.

Indeed it is a chilling dream, one she cannot help see as foretelling possible anger between Elrond and Aragorn. And she's trying to tell him!

Sad, and well told.

you are right this chapter is most intense, but I loved it from the beginning and it fit´s perfectly in this time of year. Seeing Elrond standing there unmoving like a statue and the scene around them frozen made me shiver. As always very well written. Thank you. Lai
