Out of Memory and Time  by Shireling 7 Review(s)

I'm really enjoying the pschological approach you take to Min's trauma. Nah, they didn't have shrinks in early Fourth Age Middle Earth, though Radagast and Cirdan are certainly doing their best to analyze Minnow's problems. I'm assuming the guest is Aragorn and possibly his entire entourage. Yet I'm almost rooting for Pippin to be the one to recognize Minnow as Faramir.

Your story is as wonderful as ever.

Thank you. No, no shrinks or prozac in Middle earth but the two Lords, I'm sure, have seen and experienced enough over their long lives to have encountered similar trauma in the past and have the compassion and understanding to know to tread gently.

As for the visitor. . .all will be revealed, though not too quickly. . .at least three more chapters to go.

Another excellent chapter that had me on the edge of my seat. i'm hoping Aragorn will find Faramir before he is any more recovered as I feel he could now help him the most. I liked your Radagast and it was good to see the Hobbits.

Author Reply: Thank You Linda

Parts of the puzzle are beginning to come together. Cirdan and Radagast are beginning to have their suspicions as to Min's lineage and are uniquely place to help nudge their young guest to reconnect with his past. . .if they can get past the barriers he has built to protect himself.

Another sadly glorious chapter. One would think I would be happy for the friendship and ministrations of Lord Cirdan, but I want Faramir healed; I want him back with his family; I want him happy.......... *heavy sigh*

Author Reply: Hi Agape

Thank you. I can't promise you all those wishes just yet but rest assured i have Faramir's best interests at heart and I want him happy too!

And so the lost is at last found--almost! What a surprise for the coming King--is this the anniversary of the last sailing, or the Birthday? And what additional healing might the hands of the King offer this lost one?

Wonderful!

Author Reply: Hi Larner

I don't want to spoil the surprise. . .needless to say it is a significant anniversary! *Grin*

I really appreciate your comments and support

I've really been enjoying your story but have to admit being a little impatient for the scene when Min is recognized. The tension's been built. Not to rush you (much!), but please post more soon!!

Author Reply: Hi Markia

I'm sorry for keeping you in suspense. . .I promise not to drag it out too much further!!

Thank you for your comments

Just one more question, Silver hair? I notice now that you said something about that in another charpter. Does he have grey hair because the stress? and does he feel guilt because he thinks Aragorn dead becuase of him? What a complicate guy is your Faramir...you relly are hard with him, hope that he has a wonderful reward at the end...and I think that I know who is the visitor, but I'll wait for the update. Just don't make me wait to much, you are cruel...

Author Reply: Hi
His hair grew in silver after his ordeal. . .a physiological reaction to the shock. He is burdened by guilt, though he is only now under Cirdan's care beginning to identify the reasons for that guilt.

As for a happy ending! Fingers crossed.

Hi, thanks for the update...
How can you stop right there? I will be waiting for an update the whole weekend now...Please, the visitor has to be someone that knows Faramir, it is time for them to know that he is alive, if not, he will recover his memories only to find out that Eowyn has married another guy, well I'll be very mad at her if that happens...How long has been, Two years ot three?
I like this story and really can hardly wait for an update. Well done!
Don't you think that is time for good news? Please....

Thanks.

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia,

Thank you so much for the feedback.

Yes, it is nearly three years that Faramir has been adrift and I wouldn't dare to marry Eowyn off to anyone else, not that she would even consider such a thing *grin*

And the visitor?. . .all will be revealed in the next chapter. . .the clues are all there!
