Winter Wonderland  by Linda Hoyland 8 Review(s)

Ahh! You can take the King out of the North, but you can't take the North out of the King. Perhaps they all need to visit the north - where they can play for a while without being fussed by all the tedious conventions of Gondor!

I love Arwen letting them all out to play.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.. I'm delighted you enjoyed this story. I hope one day my Muses will allow me to send them North.I think Arwen understands very well her husband needs to sometimes be less than kingly !

I can just see this, Linda! Aragorn and Faramir enjoying a snowball skirmish is a truly delightful thought.

Ah, very nice... it's good for them to have some time to just relax and be ordinary man and fathers. You cannot be a king or a steward all the time!

Have a Merry Christmas!

Heelo, Linda:

I just finished reading this with joy. How wonderful a setting you have created for our royal family, and their extended friends.

And you have introduced me to several new friends, as well: Farawyn, and Elestelle. And now, I see Ellbeth?!? Oh, she has a tale to tellme - I guess I'm off to reading more of your work!

Thank You, and Merry Christmas/Joyous Yule,

HALROHIR

Lovely battle! Yes--fie on wagging tongues! They need a snowball fight!

Author Reply: Thank you, I'm pleased you enjoyed the snowball fight. I agree they needed it like they needed the mock fight with the grasses in "A Time to Reap!"

Fathers and children playing in the snow is a universal theme; and well written here. I liked the ending; Arwen and Aragorn's second child will indeed be born into a happy home.
