Eglantine looked up from her sewing in surprise as her son burst into the room like a small stormcloud in the process of creating a lightning strike.

LOL!!! Great image!

So, Tulip prevented Pippin from doing something dangerous twice that day! That's remarkable.
Like shirebound I had the idea that Tulip might be the little lad's conscience. On the other hand her arguments are sometimes SO reasonable that I doubt it ;-)
There's more to that special piglet than meets the eye!

The creature who gave Pippin the primrose was a faerie, right?

I'm looking forward to reading more!

Author Reply: Thank you! Yes indeed, the primrose-bearing creature *is* a faerie! Heh, yeah I have a feeling there's a whole lot more to Tulip than meets the eye. Thanks again for reading!

I like that our wee lad resisted temptation and was rewarded for it :-) Is this an early view of Rhoswen? I live that the gossamer faeries gave him a flower.

Tulip,as always, is adorable!

Author Reply: Yep, this is sort of a prequel, and the faerie child is Rhoswen. Flowers are very symbolic in faerie lore, and the primrose aids one in entering the faerie realm. This is her first invitation to Pip to come visit her home! And, as always, thank you so much for your comments! I'm so pleased you like Tulip!

With Peregrin Took, it's one day at a time at the best of times! Ah, he's managed to keep himself on track today at least. Lovely.

Author Reply: Yes, he has indeed! And a day at a time is the only way for Pippin, I think. Ah, the lad's mind travels a mile a minute, hehe! Thank you for for sweet comments.

Tulip certainly does manage to get her own way rather a lot, or is it a wee lad's conscience telling him right from wrong? I love this pair and their gentle adventures.

Author Reply: Awww, thank you so much, Shirebound. I'm so flattered to know you're continuing to read and enjoy my series of Pip and Tulip adventures! Yes, Tulip definitely gets her way as much as Pip does. Perhaps he's met his match? I imagine they still have quite a lot to teach one another!
