Oh, how I hate chirpy people in the morning and at all other times come to that!
Still it was worth getting up for!

Author Reply: I know - I'm not at my best in the morning either. Mind you, I'd go if Elrohir asked!

I think I'm with Elladan, the sunrise is very pretty to see, but hard to get out of bed for!

BodkinReviewed Chapter: 1 on 9/5/2007
Elladan is remarkably good-natured to struggle from his bed to share the dawn with his brother. Most non-morning people are unbearable until they've imbibed enough coffee. And the sun has reached its zenith. I hope Elrohir ensures that his brother doesn't roll over the edge as he snoozes.

Author Reply: I know you're a morning person, so you wouldn't mind watching the sunrise. I'm with Elladan - he'd only get up for someone he loves! I need coffee before I'm human, though I do have to get up at 5.30 for work two or three times a week.

I think Elrohir was tempted to leave Elladan there - but was afraid he'd drop off too literally :)

I loved this! Elladan and Elrohir are so fun to write! And you have written them with joy and verve! I love the gentle teasing and you can feel the wonderfully close relationship between the two the way you've written them. This story is a small gem, my dear!

Author Reply: Thank you - I'm so glad you liked this! I love to write the twins, and show the close, teasing relationship they have. They can be quite rude to each other at times, because they know nothing will break their bond.

Absolutely delightful.... and the ending was well worth the wait! LOL I love that 'Dan finally rested...*giggles*

The descriptions of the flowers and such were beautiful, but I most enjoyed the sheet sliding off the bed!

Thanks for sharing.

Author Reply: Poor Elladan - there's nothing better than finally getting some sleep after an early awakening!

The sheet sliding off the bed - if this wasn't a family-friendly site, I'd have given a much more detailed description of Elladan beneath it :>)

I think Elladan has his priorities set--humor the overexuberant twin brother, and then get enough sleep to make it worthwhile! Heh!

Nice humor here.

Author Reply: I think Elladan will usually humour Elrohir - and vice versa. Though in this case he had no choice - he knew he'd have no peace unless he agreed!

Glad you liked this.

Oh, this was priceless, since I so relate to Elladan's humour! I can see myself there. And there is nothing more mortifying than having and exhuberant energetic someone close to you that early in the morning...or just before first cofee. Lovely1 At least Elladan was honest enough to admit that it was worth it. I doubt I would!

Author Reply: Poor Elladan - I know how he feels. Elrohir was lucky not to have something thrown at him!

Elladan could have tried to pretend, just so he'd get the knife - but he knows Elrohir wouldn't believe him.

I love dawn. It's such an exquisite time of the day - with so much more promise than sunset.

I'm delighted that Elrohir is such a morning person. And that Elladan is amiable enough to drag himself from his bed to humour his brother - even if he does fall asleep at the first opportunity.

Author Reply: Elrohir quite surprised me here - being so lively, so early. I'm not a morning person, and I find I tend to put some of my characteristics into him.

My sympathies are with Elladan - but like him, I can get up before dawn when I have to. He moans and complains, but he'll agree in the end - and Elrohir knows it.

This is very ironic because I find myself up before dawn (it's 4AM here on the East coast) reading this very fine story. Thank you Jay, you have captured twin siblings perfectly (once again). Now I think I will have a cup of coffee, watch the dawn rise and try to harness some of Elrohir's enthusiasm for the day.

Author Reply: 4am?? That is far too early - especially before coffee!

I hope your sunrise was as beautiful as the one the twins watched.

Amusing story, Jay. I'm with Elladan! Well sort of. I wake up early but no one had better talk to me and poking at me like that is dangerous. And before dawn on Midsummer Day is much too early.

Author Reply: I agree with Elladan too - I'm not at my best in the mornings. I think I'd have thrown something at Elrohir!
