| That was brilliant, I thought. Incredibly believable and realistic and the tension...I think fanfics generally gloss over the horror of the reality (and yes, I know we're talking about elves here, but you understand me, I'm sure) that accompanies warfare/torture, etc. It was very hard to read [can you believe I was actually looking away at some points?] but ultimately, very worthwhile. I'm not sure I recall a fic that better depicted the reasons why Celebrian would choose the path she did. Can't think of any constructive criticism; it was just very well done overall. And no, I don't think you should remove it. It's graphic, but not horrendously or needlessly so. |
