Homes for gnomes  by Nesta 4 Review(s)

You are wicked. Yes, you are. Embarrassingly funny.

Author Reply: Well, it's an easy style to imitate. So easy, in fact, that I rather wonder if there's more Christopher than JRR Tolkien in the Silmarillion and its associated material. It's rather like the difference between the language of the Authorised Version of the Bible and the language of the Book of Mormon: the latter sounds superficially like the former, but a little analysis soon shows what a poor imitation it is.

Just hilarious and very clever ! Most enjoyable.

Author Reply: Well, somebody had to put in a word for the Gnomes. I'm very glad JRRT eventually excluded them from LoTR though. The thought of Glorfindel or Galadriel sitting on a toadstool with a fishing rod would be just the end.

Hehehehehehe! So that's where garden gnomes came from, eh? Too wise to move and speak within the hearing of men, are they?

Clever.

Author Reply: Of course they're too wise. But if you creep up and listen very carefully, you may catch them speaking Primitive Sindarin.
