The Blessing  by Pearl Took 5 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 5 on 5/4/2007
This indeed could be very serious. Time to find the lad, and as quickly as possible.

Author Reply: Hi Larner :-)

Yes, send out the Mounties! Blood hounds! Elves!

Again - again you leave us with our fingernails being chewed down to nubbins and tears streaming down our eyes and our hearts palpating as we worry for our beloved Pippin - and his friends...

If HE dies, what will they do??????????? Especially Merry now that he's wounded his friend so badly!

Oh dear - needless to say - HURRY UP WITH THE NEXT PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Author Reply: Thank you dear Agape!

Yes, we do seem to be hanging everyone of a lot of cliffs.

I'm hoping to post Monday. (I'm hoping . . .)

Wow... I'd hate to think what Pippin, even at his worst, would consider doing with a knife. I have a couple of things in mind, neither of which I would wish on my worst enemy.

You and Golden are doing awesome! I'm waiting on pins and needles for more. :-)

Author Reply: Thank you, Pippinfan :-)

No, not good possibilities at all!

Hopefully I'll be posting on Monday :-)

Oh my god!!!

Now, *that* I call a cliffhanger!

When I think about Pippin out there somewhere with that *knife* - someone has to find him, and quickly!

And poor old Merry! He did not want to say that, but he did! He can't turn the time back, but he still can apologise, which he would gladly do, of that I'm sure. If he only could find him...

P.S.: I really enjoyed how Sam was fighting with words, when he tried to avoid the "Mr" :)

Thank you, Pearl and Golden for another thrilling chapter!

Author Reply: You are most welcome, Andrea! Thank you for reading and responding :-)

I'm glad you liked Sam's struggle to drop the formalities! It had to be hard for him, at least until he became Mayor ;-)

OH. MY. GOD! You can't leave us like this! Nnnnooooooo! I feel the cliff crumbling under my fingernails already.

Deep breath.

This was an excellent chapter. I'm glad they are starting to realize something is truly amiss, even if Sam is still on the wrong track and the other two have no idea what the matter might really be. I'm also glad Merry calmed himself enough to realize that he was totally in the wrong with his outburst to Pippin. But those two can't stay upset with each other for too long, it just isn't natural.

They have to hurry and find Pippin, though. If he has that knife, and all signs point that way, he could do himself a lot of harm very quickly; especially if he acts on impulse, which is the about the only way he ever does act.

Please say the next chapter is right behind this one. That cliff is still crumbling, and I know there's going to be a lot more weight on it once everyone else gets here and reads this.

Great job both you and Golden.

Author Reply: Thank you so very much, Garnet :-)

The situation has finally forced them to talk about what is going on, even if their ideas aren't necessarily going in the right direction.

Golden and I are learning about co-writing a story while living in time zones that are 7 hours apart, as well as just the challenges of co-writing. Hopefully the next chapter will be posted by early next week. My husband is home this weekend so I won't have as much time to spend writing.

Hang on tight to your cliff edge! We'll get a rope to you and everyone else as soon as we can :-)
