Dreams of the Dead, Visions of the Living  by Pipkin Sweetgrass 2 Review(s)

So right an ending for this tale.

Author Reply: Bless you! But did you feel satisfied? Was it well done of the characters to do as they did, do you think? I alwaus wondered why Faramir asked aloud why Boromir went to Lothlorien, and what *did* "the Lady that Dies Not" say to Faramir's brother? Seeing as Faramir was given to seeing both far and deeply, why did he say that? I figured there had to be a reason. What if that reason was that Boromir was shown his coming death? It seems to satisfy a lot of questions for me, personally.

This is absolutely lovely. I am sitting here feeling full of joy and with tears in my eyes. Pippin and Boromir have always been my favourite characters from LOTR since I first read the books more than 30 years ago. Your explanation of why the Tooks are different works so well and the idea that Boromir chose purposefully to give himself up to the Ring on his own terms in order that all not be lost is one of the most beautiful things Ive ever read in fanfic.

You are a writer of great heart and talent and I look forward to reading more of your work.
