I finally gained a few moments to immmerse myself in your writing...and I love it so far. : ) I found myself starting to weep along with them...to me, this is the mark of a talented writer...someone who can sweep me up into their story so that I forget myself. : )

Thanks for inviting me to read your work...I look forward to reading more.

A time to laugh, a time to weep.

Of course they would be mindful of the trees :-)

Author Reply: Oh, thank you so much for this review! It means the world to me that you would like my story, especially after having been knocked senseless by the You, Yourself, Alone and Nameless story. That one knocked me slap out...

So right an ending for this tale.

Author Reply: Bless you! But did you feel satisfied? Was it well done of the characters to do as they did, do you think? I alwaus wondered why Faramir asked aloud why Boromir went to Lothlorien, and what *did* "the Lady that Dies Not" say to Faramir's brother? Seeing as Faramir was given to seeing both far and deeply, why did he say that? I figured there had to be a reason. What if that reason was that Boromir was shown his coming death? It seems to satisfy a lot of questions for me, personally.

This is absolutely lovely. I am sitting here feeling full of joy and with tears in my eyes. Pippin and Boromir have always been my favourite characters from LOTR since I first read the books more than 30 years ago. Your explanation of why the Tooks are different works so well and the idea that Boromir chose purposefully to give himself up to the Ring on his own terms in order that all not be lost is one of the most beautiful things Ive ever read in fanfic.

You are a writer of great heart and talent and I look forward to reading more of your work.

He learned the depths of his own heart. And he learned he could be true, and freed of the call of the Ring upon him.

Sad, yet joyous as Pippin found.

May there always be one or two Tooks aware of their special blood and gifts in order to keep the wonder alive.

So, Morgoth knew of the House of Hurin? They are that old?

Author Reply: I do know that Boromir was of the House of Húrin, but the Húrins spoken of in Morgoth's curse were from the First Age. I doubt that would matter to the one who cursed that name. I imagine that just the name Húrin would be enough to draw the attention of anyone so grudging and evil as Morgoth. And the curse, in and of itself, would have aimed itself at anyone who bore that noble name. I'm so glad you like my story, thank you so much...

Oh, how well I can see this conversation happening. And Eru is sharing His gifts with this small one through his tiny figures.

Author Reply: So good you're reading, I'm happy to see it's you! And thanks so much, I hope you'll enjoy the whole story...

Yes, these indeed would be respectful of trees, for they know the lords intended to guard and guide them.

Lovely images.

Author Reply: I'm so pleased you liked this! In light of recent difficulties reading these reviews has been so uplifting! So thanks...for reading *and* for reviewing!

What an observant young hobbit Pippin is! Such depth to see beyond the surface. I love what he felt Boromir learned from them, and how he thinks they helped keep him grounded. He was such an honorable man, and it's such a pity that he had to die. :O(

Author Reply: I'm glad you see that in my writing. Always thought of Pippin as being much sharper than people think initially. Pippin was not a dummy! He was only young and impulsive. He loved Boromir, I don't doubt it, just as Merry did, tho9ugh I do think Pippin was a bit closer to Boromir than Merry was...still, the three were good friends, yes, and I think they did keep Boromir grounded. He was a very honorable man, and I hate it that he died, too...but something so sad had to have a good reason to happen...

Very nice, Pipkin. I liked it a lot. I find it interesting that he didn't knowingly set out to carve Boromir from the wood, but just let his hands do the work. Its amazing what your heart will produce when you get yourself out of the way. I can't wait to hear more, and I hope he extends his collection to other important people from Gondor... ok, ok, Faramir! There I said it. LOL :)

Keep up the good work,

Dayna

Author Reply: Oh, but there are many familiar faces... and yes, some will be from the House of Húrin...
