Doomed to Live  by fliewatuet 7 Review(s)

Ai, poor Aragorn! It is admirable at least that he kept on his feet for so long. As the tension is rising, I wonder where this plot might lead to (guess: Saruman revealing his power and knowledge; the Company's attempt to rescue; Merry and Pippin's deeds to come), and I look forward to read more.

Author Reply: I only hope that Aragorn's stamina does not seem too unbelievable. As far as rescue-attempts and the like are concerned, you'll have to wait and see ...

please don't leave me waiting for the next part of the story! i can't wait!!! The whole story is a fantastic twist to the tale, i'm loving every bit of it!

Author Reply: Hi Elly Baggins,

I am sorry to leave you hanging for so long, but there are some real life issues I have to see to first (such as finishing a PhD-thesis). I hope that I'll have more time at my hands by mid-February to resume writing Doomed to Live. I am really looking forward to it.

Thanks for the review,

Very good story! I'm really enjoying it. I can't remember what chapter this is, but I can only imagine how long this story is going to be! The pace is a bit slow, and I'd really like to see more action. But you know, I'm not sure which I'd want more: longer chapters, or faster updates. Okay, never mind. I'll leave it up to you! (it's really YOUR decision anyway) lol. Keep up the good work!

Author Reply: Hi Alisha,

yes, this story is going to be a long one (and I refrain from any guesses as to its final length). But I promise that my updates will come faster in the future (I am about to finish my PhD-thesis, at least a first draft, by mid-February, then I'll have more time to write more interesting things;-)).

As to the slow pace: can you name a point that's particularly bothersome or is it just the rather short chapters (and the too long pauses between updates) in general? You don't need to reply if it takes too long to answer, but I am always eager to hear other's opinions about my writing.

hey, update again girl (or boy)! i really like this story!

Author Reply: Hi morgan,

sorry for not complying to your request. Doomed to Live has been on hold due to real life issues (I have to finish my PhD-thesis before doing anything else), so I hope you'll manage to wait for another month. The story is not abandonded, I promise.

Thanks for the review,

fliewatuet (girl, by the way)

I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying your story so far - an intriguing premise and quite well-executed. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work!

Author Reply: Hi phoenixphile,

thanks for the review. I hope I won't exhaust your patience, but due to real life issues (such as an as of yet unfinished PhD-thesis) I won't have time to continue Doomed to Live until mid-February. But I am really looking forward to writing something for fun again ...

Again, thanks for the review,

This is a really good story! It has been handled very well. It is interesting seeing the differences in circumstances depending on who is where. Keep it up- you are doing a great job!

Author Reply: Hi Nikara,

thanks for the praise. I am always glad to hear that people like my story (even if it is on hold for the moment). And I would like to apologize for the long delay. I am buried chest-high in real-life issues (such as finishing a PhD-thesis), but I already see a light at the end of the tunnel. I hope that I'll be able to continue with Doomed to Live no later than mid-February.

Thanks for your patience,

fliewatuet
