| This is sadly lovely. I personally cannot believe Merry & Pip wouldn't cajole Frodo into a boat earlier than this - if only to play and fish and such, but the idea is very good and the drabble is very well-written. Tugged at my heart. I loved the squaring of the shoulders. Author Reply: I don't know about the cajoling...Frodo is *awfully* stubborn, plus he could have played the "I'm the older cousin" card. "No, that's fine, I'll watch." Anyway, just one possibility. :-) | |
