Flotsam and Jetsam  by Rowan 7 Review(s)
AntaneReviewed Chapter: 7 on 5/7/2007
I hope it did bring joy to hear that sound. I wonder when Frodo began to realize that for him the sacrifices weren't over, that the biggest and worst was still to come.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Dear, dear Merry. It was the perfect thing to do and he did it.

This is wonderful, Rowan :-) I just love it!

A nice show of defiance!

That's the worst of endings and separations. Gimli is right, unfortunately - and even without Frodo's frailty, he would have been right. Eight very different lives have been briefly woven together, but, short of all staying in the White City, they would naturally resume interrupted paths.

Author Reply: That's exactly what I've always felt about that section.

Good for Merry!

And they needed joy, right then. I can certainly appreciate how Frodo refused to look at any of the others at that moment.

Author Reply: Obviously he had some inkling that he would be among the ones not able to be there when the others got together.
