Oropher and Ereinion: A Last Discussion  by Fadesintothewest 4 Review(s)

Well written and filled with a resigned sorrow. It's almost as if Oropher knew his fate. So little is known about the Silvano elves. I wish Tolkien wrote more of them and not so focused on their 'lofty' kindred.

You can tell that Oropher was tired and disheartened, for he has lost much over his long life. For as much Oropher hated the Noldor with good reason, his love and respect for Ereinion was enduring. May they all find peace in the end. LOL Galahtil

I really liked this - a bit short for my tastes but very good nevertheless. I liked the idea of Oropher following the will of his people - even if it was not the most sensible thing. I never liked the idea of him being an idiot - a bit impulsive and probably rash.

Your Oropher is a lot more resigned - a bit weary but very much a King. His dslike of the Noldor is clear (something I share btw) and very reasoned.

All in all a good job. Hope you mission of providing Thranduil with a background results in more fics like these.

A nice glimpse of an imagined past that shaped Oropher's actions at Dagorlad. And I want to know what Thranduil did in Lindon! Tell me a story please.
