Knights of the City and the Mark  by Hai Took 4 Review(s)

I always love seeing Pippin being honored with his Knighthood! And it was not unrealistic for him to worry about all the others who had not survived.

You know, I do remember the part about Merry, but I did not remember this part, so I am very glad to see it posted!

Author Reply: It is good for hobbits to get the recognition they deserve. That's why we have all this lovely fanfic! I'm glad an old story was able to give you something new! Thank you for taking the time to review!

I love Eowyn's determination in this, and Merry's humble and hobbity response. And I like it that so many of his friends were there to witness it!

But you seem to have accidentally posted this chapter twice!

Author Reply: I like Merry and Eowyn's relationship, they are very different yet the same in a lot of ways.

Thank you for catching the chapter! I don't know how I managed that :) Thank you for reviewing!

Each survived through great trials, and paid the cost for heroism.

Author Reply: Some things aren't very cheap in life and I suppose heroism is one of them. Thank you for reviewing!

Even doubled, the story is a good one. And so Meriadoc Brandybuck was made a knight of the Mark.

Author Reply: Yes, I'm not sure what I was doing when I posted this chapter! It is very nice that Merry gets to become a knight. Thank you for reviewing!
