Yuletide Stories  by Frodo Baggins 10 Review(s)
AntaneReviewed Chapter: 2 on 1/2/2007
Writing in the New Year - I like that - maybe I should try that next year. :) I love that Bilbo was there for his Frodo and the new year started off better for Frodo because of that. I interrupted by pursuit of hobbityness yesterday and saw The Pursuit of Happyness which I recommend. I think that man must have a strong streak of Baggins stubborness and determination in him to do what he did.

Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Antane :)

Author Reply: Hannon le! I didn't plan to do that. I was going to sleep it in, but I was writing...and it just happened that way. Very fitting, if you ask me. :) Bilbo will always be there for Frodo. :)
Um...what is the "pursuit of Happiness"? Because it sounds very much like a book I'm reading for this worldview class called "The Lost VIrtue of Happiness" and I most definitely recomend that book. :)

Your Frodo

Aww! No Frodo! Not a misfit! *gives Frodo a hug*
And no, not confusing! I liked it! I have a special spot for stories that focus on Frodo and his parents, tugs at the heart! *sighs happily*
Have a good New Year! God bless! ~Arwen

Author Reply: Well...actually, considering that he likes to read and what not he probably would have been considered a misfit. :)
I'm very glad it wasn't confusing. I like those kinds of stories, too. To read a good one, read Queen Galadriel's latest "Big Words". It's very sweet. :)
Namarie!
God Bless,
Frodo Baggins

Hey! Your back! I haven't been on since Christmas, so I am a little late on the Yule stories.. This one was absolutely wonderful! I loved to see the Elves and Bilbo did such a sweet thing for Frodo! It got me teary-eyed!
I hope that becomes a custom. No-one, especially Frodo, should be lonely and homesick on Yule! *sniffles* Luved it!
God bless and a happy new year! ~Arwen

Author Reply: Not for long. School's starting again and with it less time. Much less. :) Well, hannon le. God Bless and a happy new year to you as well.
Namarie,
Frodo Baggins

Yes, always drawn to the stars, even then. Beautiful.

Author Reply: Hannon le. I thought it would be neat to have him go to the stars. They are so very beautiful. :) Namarie.
Happy Yule,
Happy New Year,
God Bless,
Frodo Baggins

Oh man, oh man. Poor Frodo! *hugs him* I'm so glad Bilbo found him though, and maybe the new year will hold more hope than he realises.

Happy New Year!
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Yes, poor Frodo. I was kind of foreshadowing that Bilbo would always be there for him, and that yes, the New Year would bring a better life and more hope. The poor dear. I couldn't imagine having to spend a holiday without someone I love. Wait, never mind. I can. I meant without my family. It would really be hard.

Happy New Year,
Melinyel,
God Bless,
Frodo Baggins

The sun of the new year rose to find the two huddled under a tree, still on the roof. There was a peaceful smile on both there faces.

That's so sweet. Happy Yule, and a most Happy New Year to you!

Author Reply: Hannon le. And a happy Yule and New Year to you as well!
Namarie,
God Bless,
Frodo Baggins

*dashes away tears* Oh, I'm so glad Frodo's friends came to cheer him up, and I love the bit about the curtains. As odd as it sounds, this made me cry:

As he lay in bed that night, he could almost hear Sam’s voice saying, "Sleep well, Mr. Frodo. And Happy Yule."

I don't know why; it's not sad--it might have been comforting, but maybe that's why.

Thank you, dear. :)
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Oh, I am sorry! I thought of you when I wrote that line. :) I also wrote the part about the curtains expressly for you. :) Happy Yule, my Sam! *hugging you*

Welcome back, dearest!! :) What a nice surprise to find a story from you and more than one that I must read too. I'm glad Frodo was able to have a Happy Yule after all and Happy Yule to you too! Thanks for your Christmas card too.

Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Antane :)

Author Reply: *bowing at waist* WOnderful to be back, dear. :) Unfortunately I shan't be back for long or very often. But I'm back now. :)
I was hoping it would be a nice Yule surprise for you all, but I couldn't wait, so I just had to post yesterday. :) I'm working on quite a few other stories as well. Hoping to post a chapter on each of my ongoing projects. :) Merry Yule, dearest!
Namarie!
God Bless,
Melinyel,
Your Frodo

P.S. And you're quite welcome for the ecard. I wanted to send you a package and everything but... yeah. Anyway, it's the thought that counts. FB

Wonderful to see you back, dearling.

And homesickness would be there from time to time. Glad when the curtains were opened he first thought of Sam.

Author Reply: *bowing at waist* Wonderful to be back. But I regret to say it won't be for long or for very often.
Yes, homesickness would be great for Frodo that first Yule. I can't tell you how many "first" Christmases I've had to go through. Well, seconds come, and they're better than the first. Happy First day of Yule to you, my dear!
Namarie!
God Bless,
Frodo Baggins

Awww.. A sweet Yule story! Merry Yule to you too, mellon nin! I wish my Yule muse would let me write something like that...
God bless,
Ellie

Author Reply: WEll, I'm glad you liked it. I didn't like it at all. Or at least, it wasn't what I wanted. But I'm glad you liked it anyway.
Namarie,
Happy Yule! :)
God Bless,
Frodo Baggins
