| Poor Merry! Such a shame that they didn't have enough chocolate for all of the children but it sounds as if it is very hard to get chocolate. Sounds as if Pippin is plotting again. I wonder what he'll do this time? |

The way that you described the doling out of the chokolit had me holding my breath that there would be enough to go around! I felt so badly for Merry, and agree with Pippin that Pervinca should have been more careful.
Merry was very much the young gentlehobbit about it, and I loved the way that Pippin understood that Merry was just putting on a brave face. Even though Pippin is so tiny here he already knows Merry very well. I loved Pippin's fierceness on Merry's behalf! |
