I love Aragorn's kindness and humility.

This is very enjoyable. I love stories about Aragotn and the Hobbits during their recovery. You have a small typos, a missing quote mark in chapter one'“Like I’ve been sleeping on a rock for the past month I reply as he puts another pillow behind my head. '

I will eagerly await more.

Author Reply: Oh, right! *rolls eyes at self* I always miss my own typos! I'm so glad you're enjoying this! I hope to put a lot of Aragorn in here. I haven't written much of him before, and I am really enjoying it!
God bless,
Ellie

Tolkien really does gloss over the aftermath. It is great reading your, and others', vision of this time.

Elemmire's review reminded me that it was nice that Frodo could enjoy the stars and not fear being out at night when so many bad things happened to him at night.

"Sleep well, little ones,” Aragorn says before leaving us.

I close my eyes again and scoot closer to Sam. He puts his arms around me and says, “Good night, dearest.”

Ahhh, sweet love!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: *grins* I just love writing hobbity love! *sighs happily* I'm glad there are so many others who enjoy it as well!

Oh, now that's scary and sad - Frodo responding to the loss of even the chain and more the Ring to the pain he felt at his parents' deaths. Some vital part of himself torn away each time so much as the Ring sunk its claws into him. If that doesn't cause the heart to ache if not break altogether. Very well done, my dear!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Thank you! It made my heart break as I wrote it. *tear* So sad.
God bless,
Ellie

Yes, it's a slow transition for Frodo from death to life, between comfort and love and difficult memories.

Aha--the first bout of the memories, and brought about by the chain. I'd not given much thought to it, once Frodo pulled the Ring from it--I'd always thought of it dropped to the ground, forgotten, once he claimed the Ring for his own, and it being melted as the magma rose that high. But to think of it caught in his clothing....

Author Reply: Yeah, the thought just hit me one day... what did happen to the chain? The professer makes no mention of it, so I thought... why not? Thanks for reviewing!
God bless,
Ellie

I liked this chapter especially. I enjoyed how you juxtaposed Frodo's peaceful evening of falling asleep underneath the calming stars, with the worrisome morning of finding the bloodied chain and the sudden awareness of the Ring being forever gone.

There is a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, a familiar sense that I instantly recall as the feeling I felt when I realized my parents were gone, never to return.

I really LOVED Aragorn carrying Frodo to bed! I'm always a sucker for stories where a sleepy Frodo gets tucked into bed by someone be it Bilbo, Aragorn, Gandalf, etc.

Can hardly wait to see where you go with this one, Elanor!

Lovely, of course!

I love how you dealt with the chain. I always wondered about that. Yes, seeing that chain carried off would bring home the realisation that the Ring was truly gone, and it might well disturb Frodo that it wasn't a good feeling.

I've gotten your e-mails, just soooo busy with school and then with homework! *groans* But I haven't forgotten you, mellon nin, I promise! :)
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Oh, I'm glad you liked it! I thought it was interesting. A bit superfluous really, but interesting. I just wonder where my Muse is going to take this... *looks a little nervous* WOw, I'm not the only one who wondered!
God bless,
Ellie
