Near But Far Away  by Gryffinjack 4 Review(s)
DreamflowerReviewed Chapter: 1 on 2/1/2007
I can't believe I missed this! Oh, Jackie--this is such powerful angst!

And I do know how it is when you are writing your own feelings into a fic--it's what happened with Hobbit Aid--and you can only write what your feelings give you!

Oh, yes, the pain and frustration must have been terrible to experience. And I'm so glad he realized they were indeed alive.

Author Reply: Yes, it was indeed terrible to experience. It was fortunate that Pippin realised that they are alive, although I am sure he will feel much comforted when someone comes in and tells them that Aragorn put them in a dreamless sleep and that they are fine.

Wow! Powerful stuff Gryffinjack but you really can't mean to stop there! That writing can't have put you to sleep!

Author Reply: I'm glad you found it so powerful!

While it did not actually put me to sleep, it cleared my mind of my thoughts and troubles so that my mind would rest and I *could* get to sleep.

Thanks for reviewing!

Aw, but can it truly be complete??? (All hurt and little if any comfort, *sigh*)

Very powerfully written, leaving the reader wanting more. (Soft, soothing hand on the forehead, for starters, or the essence of athelas wafting on the air. *g*)

Author Reply: Yes, it truly can be complete. Sometimes, life is not that easy.

This was extremely personal, a bit of a Mary Sue actually where I gave my thoughts and feelings from the day before to Pippin. And although I did not faint, I could not see beyond the hurt, and so neither does Pippin.

Thanks for reviewing.
