I love Halbarad! Right more about him soon please (or Hildigor or any of the Dunedian)
God Bless!

P.S Yes, I know that I haven't been reviewing and I am sorry, but my computer has decided that every time I click on a link it should freeze, so right now I am on my sisters computer.

Author Reply: Ah, dear--sounds as if you might well have a virus on your computer. You need to run a good virus and spyware detector, I suspect. Good luck!

Will write more as I can, although right now I'm doing well to keep up with work. It's been a very stressful last couple weeks!

Poor Halbarad, waits forever for Aragorn to be king, and doesn't quite make it there, not only that he knew too!

Author Reply: It must have been difficult for him, knowing he might well not see Aragorn become King after all, although I suspect he and Boromir stood together, watching the Coronation in the end.

Thanks so, Grumpy!

Beautiful, Larner. So that was how the Dúnedain were summoned. But the second drabble was a bit disconcerting, knowing what was to come. One wonders if Halbarad had a premonition even back then. Very brave of him to be willig to sacrifice himself for the greater good, but I'd still prefer him alive *sigh*

Author Reply: One wonders how much of the Dunedain foresight Halbarad inherited. I was happy to imagine how it was that the Grey Company was summoned, as so little is told of it!

Anyway, happy Saturday, which it should be where you are right now!

Thanks so, Kitty!

Beautiful and heartrending. You capture why I have a very soft spot for Halbarad!

Author Reply: Oh, am so glad I did, Linda! Halbarad must have been an exceptional man!

Halbarad was a great one!

And thanks to these drabbles he will get the attention he deserves.

Thank you!

Author Reply: Thank you, Andrea. I'm glad to be able to find Halbarad agreeing to allow me to write him. Thanks!

I am finding that, because of great authors like yourself and Surgical Steel, I am coming to an ever greater appreciation of Halbarad, Glorfindel, Gildor and others. Thank you all.

Your second drabble gave me the shivers. Brilliant.

Author Reply: I am honored, and am glad that I managed to move you emotionally. Thank you!

Ooh... chills up and down my spine! Excellent use of mood, Larner, especially in the second drabble. So, who was the elf messenger and where was he headed next? The Grey Havens, perhaps, to let Círdan know what was afoot? *grin*

Author Reply: I am honored, Fiondil. Thank you, Fiondil! And one never knows--the Elf could very well have been sent to Cirdan next! Thanks!

An elf in a hurry it seems.
True courage on Halbarad's part to go into something knowing you will not be coming out. Every time a warrior goes into battle he faces the same truth, he may not come back.
More please,
Lynda

Author Reply: Yes, he is that, apparently. And Halbarad is as willing to sacrifice himself as any on the quest itself.

Thank you so, Lynda.

Very nice drabbles! I really like the second one, especially, showing Halbarad's foresight at work.

Author Reply: Thank you, Dreamflower--thanks so very much! Yes, I think he knew perhaps from the first....

That's a marvelous gap-filler.
