Poor Eomer meeting his match! The way you described Elfwine made me picture him as so adorable, like a little Eomer. Looking forward to reading more about him and his parents in other stories.

Author Reply: Hello Whitewave,
this is the only story with Elfwine in it at the moment. Although I have a few scenarios floating through my mind regarding him. Problem is, I do not have enough time to write!

Hello Lia,
First, another good story is coming! great... I'm intrigued with the next chapter.
Second, I'm just recalling, I never give you any answer for your mail (How embarrassing!!!). I will do it, if you want, of course.
Well, it's very nice to know that you're writing again! Post soon.

Author Reply: Hi Celeste,
it's nice to hear from you again! Don't worry about not replying to my email, I know how busy real life can be. This is actually a oneshot, just a single episode, but I hope to be able to start publishing my next story soon. It looks like another long one!

Poor Eomer - I think he has discovered that even brave warriors have their limits. I love the way he was totally flaked out from the sheer effort involved in caring for one small infant. Lothiriel was almost impressed - and certainly willing to play. So there he was, congratulating himself on having coped fairly well ... and the staff went and let him down by not rushing in to clean up behind him! I suspect the clean laundry shortage might irritate her too - when she gets round to noticing.

Although, secretly, I'm sure she'll be delighted to find that her husband can't cope without her - and that he and Elfwine are dependent on her goodwill.

So, actually, Eomer wins either way. Best kind of challenge!

Author Reply: Hello Bodkin,
I think he wasn't half as exhausted after the battle of the Pelennor fields - I have felt that way myself, actually. He was certainly bearing up pretty well, but like you said, you just can't get the staff these days. At least he had already collected on his bet...

Glad you enjoyed this, and like I said there will be a new story coming up soon.

"His son and heir was looking up at him, giving his father a happy, toothless smile, and wriggling his legs experimentally... He was looking distinctly proud of himself."

So cute!

Oh Lia, this is priceless! Absolutely priceless!! It reminds me of my hubby's abilities at changing our sons nappies when they were babies!!

Author Reply: Hello Alatriel,
my husband's actually quite good at changing nappies, but I remember a time in hospital when it took our combined efforts to change our newborn daughter's nappy - a friend of mine, who was a father himself, laughed himself silly watching us.

Poor Eomer!! He would rather face a herd of charging Wargs than deal with such a task!! But, I must give him hs due for braving the most horrific thing that a man can face - A BABY!!!!!
Besides, he did more than a lot of modern men can do, including my own dear husband..... (thank goodness kids grow fast)

Author Reply: Hello Vampfan,
yes, he is one brave king! What is more he had to do it without any modern conveniences like disposable nappies. This story actually originated with the question of what was the worst thing I could throw at him...
