Trolls  by White Wolf 3 Review(s)

Oh no! I was worried that they'd been swept back into Troll country and now we find out that they were. I've got a bad feeling about this...

How typical of Legolas to want to return to help the trees. That was a nice touch :)

Author Reply: It may be that they never left troll country. Either way, it isn't good. Your feelings may be right on. :o)

Glad you liked that touch. I couldn't help but think that that is something Legolas would most definitely want to do.

Alas, poor Legolas. Trees cut off from communication, and willing at this point to accept a cave, even. But they DO need such a thing right now! Now--cave, yes. Cave troll, NO!

Author Reply: Poor Legolas indeed. Those are two things that definitely shouldn't relate to our favorite elf. Our guys are having enough trouble with the forest trolls. They certainly do not need a cave troll.

There are so many really wonderful touches in this chapter. The lack of energy and strength that Aragorn feels; Legolas trying not to worry Aragorn any more than the man already was; Aragorn's odd and unexpected thought about death; the lack of any comfort whatsoever, especially for Legolas with his trees; the fact that each was thinking the exact opposite of the other; and finally, the sadness at the damage done to Legolas.

Well, I'm very glad to have found this chapter and will wait for the next....................

Author Reply: I try to layer my stories with those kinds of touches to make a richer texture to the tale for the readers. I'm glad you liked them. I think the sadest one was the silent trees. That has to be awful for a wood-elf.

I'll updaate as soon as I can.
