Excellent taut and tense chapter...

Author Reply: Thank you. I'm very pleased you liked it.

Excellent details. Now, to get out of the Troll's country. Good idea to consult with the trees, I think.

And where ARE those horses? They must be somewhere about! Time for the horses to allow them to become the cavalry riding to escape! Heh!

Author Reply: Thank you. I think the trees can be a big help in our guys' current situation.

I agree. Those horses have got be to around there somewhere, and they need to find Legolas and Aragorn, since L & A can't seem to find them.

Greetings

Author Reply: Welcome back. Good for you, because being in my head when I write can be a very scary place to be. :o)

Wwll I'm afraid you will have to wait. I know you understand. :o)

Uh, I'm not sure what you mean by your question. You said house. Did you mean horse? If so, no, not troll food. If you did mean house, sorry, I don't understand.

I think your plot bunny must have gone into hibernation - that's another chapter with no cliffhanger!

I think the dilemma Aragorn faces is very true to character - he wants to do everything possible to help Legolas and ignore his own discomfort. But Elrond is right - if he doesn't look after himself he'll be in no state to help Legolas. I'm glad he remembers that advice.

I had a quick skim through the earlier chapters to refresh my memory on previous happenings. There is a curious reference to a burn scar on Legolas' leg that he refuses to explain to Aragorn. Is that a reference to a previous story of yours? I'd hate to think I was missing out on any tales of Legolas Angst :-)

Author Reply: That's two in a row. Amazing, isn't it? :o)

It has to be frustrating for our dear ranger. He knows that he can only do one thing first, but also knows that there are two things that need doing at the same time. Being a healer isn't easy.

It's funny, because the reference to that scar is not from a previous story but from a future one, though not necessarily the next one. Naturally, I have to do things backwards. :o)

At last a break all be it a brief one. They need some quality down time and a chance to regroup their strength. I think for once Legolas' will need the most healing time. I can hear Elrond now, "You went where?!" Time for some of Elrond's infamous tea. Legolas likely wouldn't even complain.
Keep the story coming and have a great Thanksgiving.

Author Reply: Yes, a break that both L & A need very much. If trouble will just stay away for a while, maybe they can get some of that strength back. I had to laugh, because that is exactly what I think Elrond would say, and of course, he would brew up some of his Special Tea. No, I don't think Legolas would complain at all. :o)

I'll keep it coming. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too.
