Trolls  by White Wolf 5 Review(s)

All in all, I enjoyed this, and I found it to be good writing. Once in a while you would use a word or phrase that I felt was out of place with your writing style, though.

Author Reply: I'm certainly glad you have enjoyed what you've read so far and hope you continue to do so. I'm also glad you like my writing. Would you be willing to let me know what words or phrases you are talking about? I would appreciate it, so I can keep an eye on it in the future.

Oh dear - sometimes there are disadvantages to possessing superior senses. Poor Elf (for about the 1000th time!)

While the cave is giving them a chance for a breather, I do worry that with only one exit our heroes might end up hopelessly trapped. Unless your evil plot bunny got zapped by the lightning strike?

Author Reply: Yes, it's strange that one of Legolas's senses that is normally an advantage, in this case, was a distinct disadvantage. Poor elf indeed.

The fact there's no rear exit to the shelter is definitely a scary thought. I can tell you that the plot bunny is alive and well and as evil as ever, so draw your own conclusions. :o)

With luck, Aragorn would be too preoccupied thinking about the trolls and the rain dripping on his head to notice.

I would say that with luck he will notice although Legolas obviously does not agree. Oh well,,, one more troll down. They have to run out eventually! *g*

Author Reply: I think Legolas doesn't want to worry Aragorn. He also doesn't want to lie to him, whcih he would probably do.

Yes, one more troll down. If only they could get down to none, that would be great. :o)

Thank the Valar, indeed! The Valar, and the quick thinking of a friend who got them up out of the river water in time! A brief rest, but what happens next? You are very good at keeping us hanging! I do believe you have done your homework. The descriptions of the effects of the lightning and rain ring true.

Author Reply: Yes, the Valar are definitely to be thanked. And thanks to Legolas’s quick thinking, we don’t have a fried ranger on our hands, or an elf either for that matter.

I do like to leave people wondering what will happen next. It’s fun! :o)

Thank you. I drew on experience for the rain. For the lightning, I did indeed do my homework. I wanted detail, but I didn’t want to guess and then get called out on it for not being correct. Glad you noticed. :o)

Aha! Finally a sort-of shelter and hopefully a bit of peace for a time. Now, Scron, it may be time for you, too, to be replaced. Which one will do it, I wonder? When he's gone maybe these two will be able to move on, although I must say the troop of Trolls is already significantly diminished through the constant change of leaders! Heh!

Author Reply: We can only hope that the shelter will provide some peace, but with those two you never know.

Even if Scron goes, we know that another will take his place, so I don’t think a new leader will be any easier on our guys. They do have one less troll right now, thanks to the lightning.
