Trolls  by White Wolf 5 Review(s)

Not only does this call to mind the orcs argueing over Merry and Pippin, but the troll scene in The Hobbit where Gandalf kept the three arguing until the son did its work. You are writing very good, classic Middle Earth Trolls! Are they really safe now?

Author Reply: That scene you refer to came to me after I had written this chapter. I didn't think about "The Hobbit" at all until you mentioned it, but you are right. Glad you like how I'm writing the trolls. We'll have to wait and see if L & A are finally safe. ;o)

Yay! They are free once more. One of these times it has to work. Now for some comfort. Right? Good chapter, can hardly wait for the next one. Soon, please?

Author Reply: Yes, they are free, and I certainly hope it lasts this time. Right. They do need comfort, but will they get it? Thanks. I will update as soon as I can.

Well, who'd have guessed that Legolas and Aragorn would be (potentially) saved by troll internal politics? Though I for one will not believe that they have escaped until they are safe and sound in Rivendell - they've just had too many setbacks already.

Of course even in Rivendell they won't be safe - they'll most likely be faced with Elrond's infamous tea :-)

Author Reply: Internal politics. I like the way you put that. I have certainly given you enough reasons to have doubts.

Not only would they face Elronds' infamous tea but also his infanous lectures. And once they recovered, they'd face the twins' merciless teasing. They might want to rethink escaping. :o)

Okay--troll against troll--if it works in your favor, use it! Heh! And at last they have their weapons back. Good! Horses, here they come!

Author Reply: It reminds me (now) of the time the orcs began fighting among themselves, so Merry and Pippin were able to slip away.

L & A did manage to get most of their weapons back, the important ones anyway. Let's hope they can make it to their horses.

You have 'cried wolf' about them getting away so manytimes we are not sure whether to believe you but we keep hoping! *GRIN*

Author Reply: 'Cried wolf'. Ha ha.

Think how our dear elf and ranger feel. I keep dangling freedom in front of them and then snatching it away. We can't give up, though. This may be the time. *Grinns right back*
