Waiting for Frodo  by Gryffinjack 3 Review(s)
SlightlyTookishReviewed Chapter: 1 on 8/18/2006
This is lovely. I enjoyed seeing all the hobbits waiting together to see if Frodo would pull through, and I especially enjoyed seeing it from Bilbo's POV.

Author Reply: I can't imagine the hobbits doing anything *other* than waiting together to wait, other than Sam who would not always wait by his master's side. But when they were all waiting outside Frodo's room, I enjoyed writing the differences in each of their personalities.

Although as you know, Pippin is my favourite hobbit, I find writing Bilbo and getting inside his head to be quite interesting to do from time to time. He has a unique perspective on things.

Hello,

I must say, that I enjoyed this story very much, and I really like that it shows Bilbo's emotions and helplessness when they are trying to help Frodo.

Very nicely done.

I have yet to do the Rivendell scenes in the next chapter of my own story, but enjoyed this version immensely.

Thanks for sharing your story and writing.

Regards

JULES6

Author Reply: Once I found the voice for this story, it was a pleasure to write it. We always see everything from the POV of one of the Fellowship, but I thought that what Bilbo was going through once he learnt that Frodo was in danger and headed for Rivendell was much more interesting.

You will be writing Rivendell scenes in your next chapter? Wonderful! It will be quite interesting to see another interpretation of the events there!

Thank *you* for reading and reviewing!

Aha--a good reflection of the anxiety all would feel; and excellent to see this from Bilbo's point of view.

Author Reply: Bilbo truly had a unique and interesting point of view of these events. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
