Nothing like a birthday party, with new friends and family arround. Was there cake too? I bet the twins made great brothers and have many fine stories to tell.

Author Reply: Well, I don't know if there was cake, but I'm sure they had a great celebration. And I'm sure once the twins started telling tales, others drifted by to listen. ;)

Sounds like an excellent birthday, sourrounded by family new-found and old.

Author Reply: I thought so. ;-) The story just wasn't finished until the twins showed up to share in the celebration. I'm sure Aragorn was quite surprised and thrilled to see them.

How awesome it must have been for Aragorn to see his loving brothers, protectors, and playmates transform into these "deadly warriors".

What a lovely story.

Author Reply: It must have been odd for him the first time he saw them in battle, I agree.

Thanks.

Misty--

I liked seeing Aragorn's thoughts on his childhood, and I appreciated the way you embedded them in dialogue with Halbarad. The arrival of the twins was an exciting moment. I loved the idea of them as intimidating on patrol but just Aragorn's brothers at home.

Author Reply: Thanks. I also love the idea of the twins just being Aragorn's brothers while they're in Imladris, and being the warriors on patrol.

Along with teaching me the skills I would need as a ranger, they taught me to enjoy my life and treasure my family.

This is lovely. It's wonderful to see Aragorn so loved by *both* of his families, and to see those families meet at last.

Author Reply: Yes, I did enjoy writing the moment when Aragorn's two families met and just love the thought of Halbarad sitting there listening to tales of Aragorn's childhood.

Now twenty-one, Aragorn has two families, two lives that he is successfully blending into one.

Warm look at his coming to terms with his new situation.

Author Reply: Yes, Aragorn had been through a lot of changes in the year after he turned 20. I wanted to give him a chance to share his past with those he befriended after joining the Dunedain. I'm glad you enjoyed this.
