| Oh yes! Finally accepting the great love Aragorn and Arwen have for each other and comparing it to the love he has known MUST have been the final comfort for Elrond. Beautifully expressed Misty. This one is going on my favourites list. Author Reply: Thanks. :) I'm glad you enjoyed this so much. I thought Elrond needed to find a way to accept this or the sorrow would have destroyed him. I hope he was able at the last to be happy for them, and like to think that a conversation like this might have taken place. | |

| Yes, acceptance was needed and has been beautifully found and given. Author Reply: Thanks. I do like to think some version of that discussion took place between them so that Elrond could come to accept Arwen's choice. | |

| "Ada, if Naneth had been mortal, what would you have done?" If that isn't one of the most perfect lines ever! What could Elrond possibly say to argue against that. Wonderful, Misty. I figured there was nothing that Elrond would be able to say to that, as I'm sure he would have done anything for Celebrian, even make Arwen's choice if it had been necessary. | |
