Middle-earth Express Prompts  by Misty 2 Review(s)

What a nice moment for Denethor. Finduilas was good for him. He's lucky she didn't make him start taking his clothes off!

Author Reply: I do think his wife would have been one of the very few people who could get through to him and help him to relax enough to just be himself. But I don't think even she would have pushed him to do more than he was comfortable doing. ;-)

Thanks for the review.

Oh it is nice to see a human Denethor - able to play with his children and relax for a bit.

And please, please, please pass me that fountain. I am stuck in a little bed-sit and it is unbearable here even at six in the morning.

Author Reply: Here. *hands over portable, blow up wading pool* Sorry, I thought the stone masonry of the Minas Tirith fountains might be a bit too heavy to send over. Will that help? ;-)

I'm glad you liked the story. I was trying to write a sympathtic Denethor... a side of him that people don't see often. I think he probably did have more of an ability to relax while his wife was still around and his children were young.
