Anothee wonderful piece of art! I never tire of your fine craft! It's well-wrought and, so it seems, done with much care, like the bowstrings! I loved this! Thank you for it!
Namarie!

Well done! Terrific job of putting an O'Henry twist on an Mellon tale. *claps*

Author Reply: Thank you, Karri. I've loved "The Gift of the Magi" since I read it years ago. It plot seemed to be the perfedt 'model' to demonstrate Legolas's and Aragorn's friendship.

P.S. I miss your stories. Please start writing again.

Author Reply: Yipee. I found a new story. :o) I don't know how it got by me, but I'll read it this weekend. (And on my first reply, that should be The plot....

This is great White Wolf. I just hope that they don't meet those orcs the rest of the way back!

Author Reply: I'm with you. Since they only have their knives with them, they certainly don't need any trouble.

I will have to repeat the same thing- the Gift of the Magi. I liked that story the moment I read it when I was a kid. Your version is a better version, though.....But, that's just me.

Author Reply: That story caught my attention, when I read it a long time ago. Thank you so much. I'm honored you think so. I like just you. :o)

That was beautiful. It reminded me of the gift of the magi. Have you ever read that story? I look forward to many more stories from you. you are very talented.

Author Reply: This story was based on that one. I worked it into an LOTR version to demonstrate the friendship between Legolas and Aragorn. I will keep writing. Thank you.

I like the ironic turn at the end here in what I assume is a ME version of "The Gift of the Magi." The only thing that made me flinch is that now they're weaponless! They'd better hurry home.

Author Reply: Hi, daw. Yes, it is most definitely an ME version of "The Gift of the Magi". I've always loved that story. It wasn't easy fitting it into LOTR, but I did my best, because it demonstrates friendship so well. Our elf and ranger had better hurry for sure, since all they have now is their knives. Thanks for the reivew.
